Cynthia Wall RSW PAI (1927-2012)

Cynthia Wall was taught at school by William Armour then went on to study at Glasgow School of Art from 1946 to 1950. She exhibited regularly in major Scottish exhibitions including the Royal Scottish Academy, Royal Glasgow Institute and Paisley Art Institute and she was elected RSW in 1971. Her subjects tended to be mainly Still Life and domestic interiors, mainly small in scale with a great sensitivity to form, colour, texture and pattern. Wife of artist William Birnie. Public collections include; The Permanent Collection House of Lords, Macfie Collection, Hunterian Gallery, Lillie Gallery and the Paisley Art Gallery.
