Edwin Alfred Pettitt (1840-1912)

Edwin Alfred Pettitt (1840-1912) was a Victorian landscape painter famous for his views of southern Scotland, Northern England and Wales. He exhibited at the Royal Academy between 1858 and 1880, the Royal Institute and the Royal Society of British Artists. Pettitt’s paintings had wide appeal both during his lifetime and subsequently, many are held in public galleries throughout the UK.
