Carmen Ambrozevich

Carmen’s paintings are inspired by her love of the landscape, geology and archaeology of East Lothian. She expresses this through her use of bold vibrant colours and often includes elements of the landscape, the Bass Rock being one of her favourites. She studied at Grays School of Art and was awarded a Post-Graduate in Art, Highly Commended. Carmen was formerly a part-time Lecturer in Printmaking at Grays School of Art and Tutor at Peacock Printmakers of Edinburgh. Awards include The Scottish Arts Council Award, The Keith Prize at the Royal Scottish Academy, The Alexander Graham Munro Award at the Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolour. Carmen is also a professional member of the Society of Scottish Artists, Aberdeen Artists Society, and Visual Arts Scotland. She is currently a part-time Adult Education Tutor in Art with East Lothian Council and Jewel and Esk Valley College.
